The 2024 GMC Yukon XL is an extra-large SUV that’s built for big families! The Yukon XL has five different trim levels, each with unique characteristics. We’re taking a closer look at each trim and explaining some of their best features in this breakdown.
SLE
The SLE Yukon XL base trim comes with a 5.3L V8 engine that delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is standard on the SLT and AT4 trims as well.
The SLE trim has 18-inch all-season blackwall tires with 6-spoke machined aluminum wheels and dark gray metallic accents. It features GMC Pro Safety, the basic assistive driving package that includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Alert, and Following Distance Indicator.
SLT
The Yukon XL’s SLT trim has 20-inch all-season blackwall tires with 6-spoke polished aluminum wheels. Notable exterior features include bright chrome bodyside moldings and chrome door handles. This trim and all higher trims come with a hands-free power liftgate, acoustic laminated glass windows, and Rainsense automatic windshield wipers.
The SLT and all higher trims include GMC Pro Safety Plus, an expanded version of the standard assistive package. It includes all the same features as GMC Pro Safety, with the addition of Rear Park Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. The SLT and all higher trims have a 10.2-inch diagonal GMC Premium Infotainment system with Google built-in.
AT4
The AT4 trim of the GMC Yukon XL comes with 20-inch all-terrain blackwall tires and 6-spoke machine aluminum wheels with carbon gray metallic accents. Black roof-mounted side rails add a bold accent, while the auto-dimming power outside mirrors adjust to bright lights behind your vehicle. The AT4 and all higher Yukon XL trims come with heated seats and a heated steering wheel, a power tilt and telescoping steering column, and a power-release second-row split-folding bench seat.
Denali
The Yukon XL Denali trim has a 6.2L V8 engine that delivers 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is also standard on the highest trim, the Denali Ultimate. The 6.2L V8 engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission for optimal acceleration.
The Denali has 20-inch all-season blackwall tires with 6-spoke multi-dimensional polished aluminum wheels, satin chrome bodyside moldings, and bright roof-mounted side rails. Inside you’ll find a Bose 14-speaker Surround with CenterPoint audio system, HD Surround Vision, and a power-sliding center console.
Denali Ultimate
The Denali Ultimate offers a complete range of top-tier exterior and interior features, such as a panoramic power sunroof, power-retractable assist steps with LED lighting, and Vader bodyside moldings. This trim has 22-inch all-season blackwall tires with 7-spoke ultra-bright machined wheels and bright chrome accents with dark paint.
