At check in, was asked if I had confirmed part was in shop when I made appt. Appt was for a Recall notice. As a customer, I would assume this was the responsibility of the service rep making my appt. I was a bit taken aback that rep implied making sure Buick service had the part in stock was my responsibility. All ok as part was available but didn’t feel like great customer service.

The service advisor was just acceptable. She was not to concerned about my time when I requested that she inform me as soon as possible if extra maintenance work was needed on my vehicle as I had other appointments later in the day if the vehicle was to take longer to complete. When I saw that my initial service was complete I was waiting near service advisors desk when she passed me serval times looking at me. I then received a call from her as I stood next to her desk, as she did not remember me from when she checked in my vehicle. I then went to pay for the service and was presented a bill that I thought was to high for the service coupon I was using and when I questioned the bill I was told that it was higher due to shop fees and taxes. When I questioned further the clerks supervisor was sitting behind her on her cell phone. When she was asked by the clerk the supervisor seemed bothered that she had to address the issue and told me I was wrong going back to looking at her cell phone. After my insistence she finally looked up the coupon and confirmed the bill was correct. I have only taken several vehicles I own to this dealership for service because I have always gotten good honest service. I was disappointed with this service visit and the attitude I received when just trying to clarify a bill. I have stopped using other dealerships when customer service from employees has gotten worse. I would gladly pay more to know that I am receiving good customer service from people that care about my vehicles as much as I do. I feel this is just one incident and I am willing to give another chance but will be paying attention to the customer service that I and other customers receive.

When we scheduled the appointment we were told to expect it would take all day so we came in early and I had someone ready to come an hour or two later. When I spoke to the rep after a couple hours they stated it would be just about 45-60 minutes more. So I decided to have my ride not come. One hour later I checked in and they said they were having an issue and that it would actually take a few hours so I should get picked up, which was not communicated to me until I asked. Then once my ride was on its way I was told they actually had figured it out and would only be about 30 more minutes. So I had my ride turnaround. It took 1.5 hours from then for it to get done. We just felt the communication was lacking a bit.

All other cars were attended to and I was alone. I finally left. This time I was greeted right away but then I stood inside for a long time before I was checked in.

I was open to any time and date , but your people suggested 2 PM on last Wednesday . I arrived 10 minutes early and was promptly checked in . We agreed that I needed an oil change and tire rotation . From the window in your waiting room , I noted that it was about 35 minutes later that my automobile was pulled into your service bay . One hour and 40 minutes later , I saw my car being pulled out and watched as it entered your entrance/exit area . I assumed everything was done . 10 minutes later , I was told that a bulb needed replacement for my driver’s side brake light . I OK’d the bulb at $64 ,( someone’s doing well on that transaction ! ) Ten minutes later , I watched my car being driven back into the service bay . Fifteen minutes after that , your people completed the bulb replacement and again brought to the exit area . I believe that 2 1/2 hours , ( not counting my being 10 minutes early ) , is a bit long for an oil change and tire rotation …. even with the added burden of replacing a light bulb …..don’t you ? Remember , I didn’t demand a particular day or time . Your people told me the appointment schedule .

I requested the 75K mile service. I told the advisor that I was experiencing less power upon acceleration. I was advised that it would be $185 for them to check it out. Reluctantly I agreed b/c I needed to know what was going on and my control motor was making noise when I turned on heat, defrost...etc. When ready for pick up, I was told there were no issues with the fan motor nor acceleration. My bill was $269.02. I feel as though I was ripped off of the $185.00 b/c, the 75k mile service would have shown any existing problem b/c that's what it is for. I did not need a diagnosis b/c I did not have any check engine codes. (I could have performed this test myself). As for the fan motor, as soon as I turned on the heat, I heard the rumbling noise. I'm usually satisfied with service here, but this time it's questionable if I'll return.

I made an appointment for maintenance on my car at 9 AM, oil change and tire rotation. I arrived at 8:45am and was checked in by Noah. At 10:30am I had not seen my car brought in to garage yet and I needed to be at an appointment at 11am. I feel that because I made an appointment and told them I would be waiting on my car. It was stressful. I told Noah my service rep that I just saw my car being brought in and that I would not be able to wait at this point so just cancel the service. Noah next came and let me know he secured me a loaner so I could go to my appointment and come back later to pick up car. I want to recognize Noah for going above and beyond and being proactive on resolving my issue. This review would not be 5 stars if it wasnt for Noah! Thank you Noah!

No problem with dealership, but didn't find a problem. Just had new battery installed two weeks ago, and last Wednesday went out to leave for work and interior light came on tried to start vehicle and pushed start bitten twice and nothing tried third time and power was drained completely. Got in touch with onstage they sent out AAA they got is started and it showed the right charge, but AAA but they said you should probably take it in to be checked out. Took into dealership , called after first day to see if car was ready, they said they had gotten oil service done, but really haald a chance to find the electrical issue yet, second day stopped in dealership to see if vehicle was ready and was told almost ready but still had a few things to check and mechanic said there was leak, third day dealership called said vehicle was ready and asked if they found the leak, person on phone said there was no leak, went and picked up vehicle and was told couldn't find any issue at all, so I hope it was just a fluke issue and doesn't occur again.

With my maintenance special it included a car wash. When I went to my car once it was ready I noticed it didn’t have a car wash. On the ticket it said no car wash so I had to ask the technician was there a reason why I wasn’t able to get a car wash. I was told “Oh we will run it through real quick”. That was the only issue I thought I had at the dealership that I noticed until I got home and realized that my batteries actually weren’t changed out of my remotes. I paid $14 to have my main car fob remote battery replaced that was dying and my secondary fob replaced that was fully dead. I ended up having to go buy my own replacements. I’ve been coming here for a little over a year and have never had an issue until now.

Repeat issue that they either didn’t fix the first time or they didn’t know how to fix the second time. I was told they heard the issue, put it on the lift, “tightened everything”, and then didn’t hear it anymore. I asked, did anything move when you tightened everything? They said no. They wanted me to come in and drive it with a technician. I got sick and couldn’t make it. I decided I would take it somewhere else and just got an oil change. As soon as I got into the parking lot, I heard the same noise. I was no more than 30 ft from the service entrance. I will say, the communication and willingness to investigate has been fine. The service advisor was fine. I just don’t trust the process, length of time in shop, professional aptitude(mechanics). I don’t generally go to the dealership for work, but got the warranty…. Turns out the warranty they sold me for the suspension was for stock parts, not what was installed on the truck when I bought it. It worked out the first time something went wrong, but they made it very clear it wouldn’t be covered again.

I have been fighting the same issue with my truck since November 2024 and taken it to ed Martin Chevrolet back in November and got TERRIBLE service. now to the gmc dealer where I purchased it from. Both times of course the service light had gone off and I had read the code on multiple readers at home prior to going. I provided the code to the dealership and yet they still cannot do anything about it because it isn’t actively on at that time. What happened to service departments doing some actually work to determine what might be causing the problems instead of just driving the vehicle 14 miles and saying well the light never came on so there’s nothing we can do. This is not service!!! The code is one of the codes related to a past service bulletin for the truck and yet they won’t follow the steps mentioned in that bulletin to check that issue. Customer service is a thing of the past clearly

Never received a phone call I called at 4 pm to check on truck and was told they couldn’t get to warranty work but they can still do the oil change and tire rotation before they close. Disappointed that no one called me during the day to give me an update. Also if you couldn’t do the warranty work why not do the oil change and tire rotation and call me early so I can come pick up my truck instead of waiting until the end of the day.

Past visits have been great - this visit lacking. Vehicle was brought in during business hours Tuesday the 18th for a Wednesday the 19th appointment (not the 20th). The advisor was told there was an uncertain fluid leak, and the windshield washer was not functioning. I was not informed about what the washer repair would entail, nor that a part had to be ordered for the leak until I made a call at about 4:00 p.m. Learning there was no loaner car available, I asked to have the vehicle readied for pickup and declined the washer repair and a hood strut repair. I’ll decide later about addressing the leak, which is currently not showing in the garage.

Brought my car in to address a leaking tire and use a coupon for an oil change. Was really disappointed when checking out that no one told me that I needed to get my tires rotated to get the oil change price. I just bought my tires from you a few months ago so they don't need to get rotated. I got a lot of "your advisor should have told you this" when clearly he had not. I ended up getting a small refund but the overall experience felt a bit dishonest. Had I not asked about the coupon being valid there was no chance that the lady at check out would have told me.

The desk staff were very attentive to me when I arrived and quickly checked me in. They were able to accommodate me even though I had a drop off appointment that I scheduled a few days before. I got my car back earlier than expected which was great but unfortunately two large engine oil grease hand prints were on both the driver and passenger side doors. I can’t blame the desk staff for this but the mechanics/techs should have been cleaner or wore gloves. Since the interior of the car is cream it’s very obvious. I took care of detailing the care when I got home and removing the oil but I hope this won’t be an issue next time I come to Ed Martin.

I went in to have my oil checked and get a reading on my antifreeze. An hour and a half later I still didn't know how my antifreeze was and they never did say if I have an oil leak. I only wanted those things checked which should have taken about five minutes. I'm not sure why they had to have a tech check my oil. The service writer should have been able to do that without pulling it into the garage.

Went to get a key replacement under an extended warranty, which has a $500 limit. Received a call back and was told that I would have to still pay an additional 112 for the programming of the key. Told them no, went 1/2 mile down the road to Bill Estes and they replaced the key under warranty with no additional cost. This dealership is your typical charge as much as possible because they think they can. If you are looking for a dealership that will treat you right, go to Pearson or Bill Estes they are both within 1/2 mile of this dealership and they wont try to charge you out the ears.

I had a 10:30 AM appointment and arrived early at 10:10. The service technician who checked me in mentioned that, because I arrived ahead of schedule, there were a few vehicles ahead of mine, which I completely understood. However, around 1:00 PM—nearly three hours later—I was told that my truck had only just gone in 20 minutes prior, while he happened to be away at lunch. Up to that point, no one had communicated any delays or informed me that the service department was backed up. The maintenance was originally expected to take about two and a half hours, so the extended wait was frustrating, especially with no updates provided. The technician said he would speak with the service manager to see what could be done, but I never heard back from either of them. When I asked the cashier if this was typical for their service department, she simply replied, “I don’t know, I’m just a cashier.”

Had my car for 6+ days due to a faulty/defective radio that made my display go totally black. It took them way too long to locate and get installed the radio and make my display operational again. The oil change and tire change was ok, even though it took 2 hrs. My problem is I have a check engine light and they said they could not have tech look at it at same appt. So they just wanted me to drop it off and they wll get to it when they can, well I need my vehicle for work. So she said they would scan the code and if it was going to be a warranty issue then when they set up appt to fix, I could get loaner. Well when I went in on Wednesday, they scanned code and know it is a common problem with the 3.0 but he said they still wouldnt give me a loaner till they took the truck apart to confirm. Again this is a common issue with these trucks. The service advisor told me he would talk to his boss that was out for a meeting and get back to me, as of Sunday I still have not heard and I doubt I will until I call in and ask. It is sad when you have bought multiple cars from a dealership and they don't want to give you a loaner car for a day or 2 while they fix yours.

I paid for a maintenance contract when I bought my car and was told I would have no trouble using it for service. Turns out its through a third party and they were closed on Saturday so Buick could not get authorization. Instead of going ahead and honoring it and allowing me to not pay for the service, I am the one who has to contact the third party and get my refund. The last Buick dealership I went to in Florida took the burden of getting the credit vs me having to pay upfront.

This is, hands down, the nicest dealership I have ever been in. I had just started a 60 mile trip home from the north side of Indianapolis pulling a trailer with two horses when my brakes went out. I was able to limp into Ed Martin’s parking lot and the person who greeted me at the door immediately whisked me back to service. The service advisor wasted no time getting my truck back to diagnose the problem enabling me to focus on finding someone to come rescue my horses and so we could get them out of the hot trailer. They replaced the brakes for me and a few days later had my truck back on the road. Every person I encountered at Ed Martin was exceptionally friendly and helpful. If I could give them a rating higher than excellent, I would.

As a longtime customer of Ed Martin GMC, and this particular location, I have been increasingly disappointed in the service I have dealt with the last 6-8 months - from pressure to replace my tires (which was not needed as I replaced them, at this location, 18 months ago), to unfriendly discourse along the way. This last event is no exception. My car died in the middle of the street on Tuesday, December 30th. I called the dealership immediately, as they replaced my battery about 6 weeks ago. The person who answered the phone was wonderful, provided a tow company she recommended (they were exceptional!), and set up an appointment for the next morning to ensure my car was looked at, since they had just replaced the battery. This is where the help ended. The following day, I called and they had not looked at the car and noted 'very unlikely it would happen before Friday' regardless of a placeholder appointment. I was then called back a couple hours later because they 'couldn't find it' and 'was I sure I had it towed to their dealership'. I explained where it was located and the car was eventually entered into the system. Come Friday late afternoon I called the dealership for an update, and was told again 'we'll see' on Saturday to look at it. I again expressed that this is likely due to the battery they put in several weeks ago, and that I am continuing to pay for a rental, as they are 'unsure' when they can look at it. I received a call back a couple hours later that 'great news, its no cost to you, it was just a loose cable to the battery' ... Of course, this was not at 'no cost to me', as I paid for a tow, and a rental car for 4 days. When I came to pick up my car, there was no greeting, no apology, nothing. No one would even look me in the eye. My car was brought out and sat until I asked - 'so do I just leave? Go get in the car and leave'? I got a 'yep' from the woman at the service desk. Unfortunately, service has taken a dive in the last several months. I understand it is a busy time. I understand the holidays must be crazy. A very small amount of ownership to the miss on this, and offer to 'make it right' would have gone a very long way. I will not be purchasing anymore cars at this location, and will seek a new service team going forward.

I want to start by saying that I truly appreciate the courtesy drop-off and pick-up service your dealership offers. On 4-30-25, I placed an order for a dashcam through the GMC website, with Ed Martin dealership performing the install. On Friday, May 2nd at 3:46pm, I received an email stating that my camera was at your dealership. I spoke with the parts manager, " Mr. Marvin" on Tuesday May 6th, to confirm that my camera was there and the steps moving forward to have it installed. He connected me with scheduling, where I spoke with a young lady who informed me May 19th was the earliest appointment she could get me in. She also spoke with someone who said it would take all day to perform the installation. I told her ok, but needed my car back by the end of the day because I was having oral surgery the following morning at 6:45 am. On May 19th at 6:45 am, I was the second vehicle in line. At 7:00 am the doors opened, and I checked my truck in. Ajay asked me if I was waiting for my truck and I told him yes. About 9:00 am I was again told my truck would take all day to install the camera, they would provide me a ride home and come back and pick me up when it was ready. At 2:44 pm I received a call informing me my truck wouldn't be ready and I was being set up with a rental vehicle. I was then picked up and given a courtesy rental. At 9:11 am the following morning, while I was still at my appointment, I was informed my truck was ready. Made my way back to the dealer and turned the rental truck in only to find out that my car wasn't complete. The camera was not working and the back camera was just hanging now because they said they didn't know if it was being installed upside down or not, and they couldn't get the camera working. My mouth and face was bandaged up and I couldn't talk, so I told them I would bring it back in 2-3 days when I could talk. I drove my truck home. On May 21st at 9:39 am, I made an appointment for Wednesday, May 22nd at 12:30 pm. After arriving at my appointment, they relocated the front camera to the Stinger-recommended position and installed the rear camera. I then set in the truck with your tech trying to set up the camera which after 30-40 minutes we got the phone to connect with to the camera. Your tech had to leave, I told him we could finish later. The following day it stopped working. The reason I purchased this this camera recommended by GMC and installed by the GMC dealer is so I didn't have these problems. Also for what reason would your tech have to go into my glovebox and remove my Sierra/Sierra Denali 2500 HD/3500 HD Owner’s Manual which was still sealed in the cellophane wrapping. I spoke with my dealer I purchased my vehicle from and they said it was in the truck at time of purchase. " The manual that has 442 pages in it". The only left in my truck is the Sierra/Sierra Denali 2500 HD/3500 HD essential Operating and Safety Information Manual. Please contact me Robert G. Guthrie Sr.

While the service required was "routine", Sakia Dudley's care/concern/knowledge was "exceptional' . She efficiently set up the work order; the time to wait was reasonable. She provided me with her personal contact so I could follow up on having the side detection system diagnosed and repaired in the near future. I just need to find a time when I am willing to be without my car..... Not until I was reviewing the documents before filing them did I question the charge for tire rotation as I was remembering(Perhaps incorrectly) that it was provided along with the tire purchase but perhaps that was some of the "perks" from competitors. Once Ed Martin Buick offered to match those offers, I was content to make my tire purchase at Ed Martin Buick.

(1) Oil change mileage shown on sticker put on window was false. It should have been 7,500 miles after current change - BUT THE MILEAGE SHOWN WAS ONLY 4,000 miles after this change. This was done at my first oil change - and I caught it. Leaves me concerned about the business ethics of the dealership. (2) Had tires rotated and air pressure checked. Only 3 of the 4 valve caps were replaced on tires. Spent money twice trying to get a replacement - yet none of them fit. Had to drive across town to the dealership to get one that fitted. Did get one - and man gave me a 2nd for just in case. Cashier needs to know about and pricing of specials dealership is offering. When I questioned price charged was not what special indicated, she said "they just did some extra things - that's why it is higher". Answer was flippant, unacceptable, and unprofessional.

The customer service and wait time was fine. . I'm a little disappointed that I gave the intake person a $10 coupon that had been sent to me for my one year anniversary and after getting home and checking my receipt I see that the $10 coupon was not applied. It may be a small amount, but I went in with the expectation that I was getting $10 off and I did not receive that.

The service staff got me in even though there were no appointments available for awhile they made it happen. It took a few days to diagnose the problem and fix but that was ok since they were able to offer a loaner (that was really important since I have to drive to work). I called late morning on a Saturday because one of my tires was indicating low pressure. I added air and believed that would fix the issue. When the electronic reading didn’t change, I called Ed Martin. When I told them I was traveling back to Indianapolis but would need to be on the road for the next few days, they worked me in to the schedule early that afternoon. They thoroughly checked for all possible reasons, including the sensor, and made sure that all the tires were sound. For some reason, my husband‘s phone number is in the system. So I didn’t get the email link when it was time to determine what was needed. My husband sent me the link much later in the day, it said three things needed to be done. I couldn’t get to the screen where it said accept or decline. It’s probably because the link was sent to my husband. The problem was, I left the phone number. I wanted to be contacted with on the drop off envelope. So that whole thing annoyed me. Then I went to pick up my car later and paid. I sat out in the garage waiting for it to come. It didn’t come for 10 minutes. So I went back in and talked to a man who checked me out. I asked him if my car was coming and he said, “oh yes.” he jumped up to get the key for my car. In other words, he had never ordered for my car. I would’ve appreciated an apology. The whole experience was quite annoying.

I needed 2 tire pressure sensors replaced and a low beam light replaced. A problem arose when apparently a body shop that had replaced the light assembly years ago used non OEM parts which the mechanic had to work around. They were able to get the parts to achieve this and everything was fixed satisfactorily.

Maintenance issue was troubleshot and fixed promptly. Requested service (oil change, tire rotation and installation) were accomplished in a quick and thorough manner. Technician also did the little things that make the greatest impact ( reinstall all splash pan plastic covers, engine covering, oil cap, etc.) Not to mention wiped all if any evidence of oil from anything touched during servicing. Very neat and thorough.

After making an appointment for my car and making sure that they had the notes about the door panel and authorizing you to look at it. The technician did not even read the notes and called to get permission that I had already given and was on the notes. Also when I get my car back the door panel was on but the trim at the top is not connected. I paid for so par work. Very disappointed.

My vehicle was just in for an oil change a week ago and no issues were reported at all. My setting was changed on my truck without my permission. The tech did not point it out either. A week later my truck needs 3k worth of work. Oil leaks and engine parts needing replacement....Ridiculous! I've been a customer over 10 years and this is the second time I've had an issue. Very bad business. You pride yourselves on how settings are not changed w/o permission and communication with the customers. You get a negative zero on this survey for both.

Vehicle in for service and I additionally ordered a bed cover that I found in my gmc app The price was 1400…after completion the price was 1800…it was decided by the parts department that since I didn’t order the cover and had it delivered ..I would have to pay the inflated price .. I would have not approve this ,if I had known in advance I would be charged the higher price I love this dealership,but in this manner I got a raw deal ..and I had to use all of my 20,000 awards points to lower the price …

Friendly customer service and an excellent shuttle driver were greatly appreciated. The seat repair could have been better. There is a small side nick/rubbed area that wasn’t there before the work. The repaired area doesn’t look or feel like the rest of the seat. (It’s a small area.) It looks shiny and feels rough/grainy. Also, the car has a glue smell. ?? I would like to know the procedure used to repair the leather seat.

I arrived at the dealership for a 7 am service appointment. The service tech said the process should take 1 hour-ish - no problem, I’ll wait. I saw my truck was brought in for service almost immediately. However, after 2 hours I had heard nothing. I went to check with the service tech on the status, as I no longer saw my truck in the service bay. The service tech said a nail was found in my tire and they were repairing it. Great! However, there was no proactive update to let me know and an estimate on how much longer. When I asked how much longer, I was told very soon. The ‘very soon’ was another hour and no additional updates. I was there for 3 hours waiting on a 22k mile service (oil change, tire rotation, filter change, etc.). I feel this is unacceptable and a lack of concern for my time. Had I been told the service and tire repair would take a lot longer than expected I would have called for a ride.

I was there for oil change and tire rotation. I ask the service person to have them check to see if I need windshield wipers. I was told I did not because they worked fine after the carwash. Unfortunately I noticed when I got to the car I noticed the car had not been washed at all. I have been coming to Ed Martin Buick for over 12 years and had not had a bad experience before yesterday. Hopefully this level of service will not continue.
